An excellent example of barrel-fermented Vermentino, with notes of tropical fruits and a powerful smoky finish. This wine is made from the best Vermentino grapes, after hand-harvesting, the grapes are crushed and left to macerate for a few hours at very low temperature to enhance the texture and flavour, and then softly pressed. The wine’s special secret is its fermentation in small French oak barriques. This technique lends complexity, structure, and aromas of vanilla and smoke.

This Super Tuscan wine is a classic blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Sangiovese. It is produced by Ridolfi, a small, organic-certified winery in the famous Montalcino area. Their speciality is Brunello di Montalcino, and this wine was a new experimental venture that became a real success.
