Five Guys: Review

Five guys

Who knew burgers could be so tasty that it started all the way in a little town called Arlington Westmont, and is now a 30 minute tube journey from my home. Instagram posted the most jaw dropping photos of fully stacked and scrumptious looking burgers. I had anticipated my first visit to Five Guys, and a casual late Friday afternoon shopping on Oxford Street ended up with a stroll finding somewhere quick and enjoyable to eat. Walking through a busy Covent Garden, a queue formed outside a recognisable building. “Five Guys!” I jumped with excitement. It was finally time to give it a taste.

The burgers are pure perfection – and are made right in front of you. The menu is simple with a range of different burgers and fries, but the flavours used in the homemade chips certainly aren’t. I ordered a very filling bacon cheeseburger and enjoyed every single bite. I asked for it to be ‘fully loaded’ – accompanied with mushrooms, onions, lettuce, mayo and two juicy tomatoes. As I exercised to take a bite, the taste of America certainly burst in my mouth. Four hours later and I’m still completely full! The unlimited bottomless drinks with over 50 flavours certainly came in handy.

I gasped at the drink machine as I selected my top three of the night; Orange Coca Cola, Grape Fanta, and Peach Sprite! A taste of America; and what an experience I can’t wait to return to. Visit Five Guys when you are absolutely starving. You won’t regret it.
