FOLK ANNOUNCES LAUNCH OF SUNDAY MILLS IN EARLSFIELD

Folk (www.folkcoliving.com), the co-living brand on a mission to set a new standard for renting, is launching its second site in the capital, Sunday Mills in Earlsfield. The building, expected to be completed in September and open for renters to move in the following month, is set riverside in SW18 and will feature an incredible roof terrace with 360-degree views of London, a huge co-working space, high spec community kitchen, a gym, cinema room, lounge and on-site restaurant and bar for co-living residents to enjoy. The building is the second in Folk’s co-living catalogue in the capital, and once again has been cleverly designed around the brand’s key pillars of community and connection, encouraging social interaction and the formation of new friendships and relationships.

After extensive research with renters and following the launch of the brand’s first co-living space earlier this year in Harrow, Folk is continuing to disrupt the rental market by eradicating the traditional pain-points tenants face such as run-down accommodation, lack of outdoor or working-from-home space, and rising cost of bills. Particularly attractive for London renters is the value the spaces provide – with the £1,574 per calendar month Studio price not only including access to all events and communal areas including gym, cinema and co-working space, but also covering all bills, removing the worry of rising costs which many are facing in the current climate.

Folk has also carefully considered its offering at Sunday Mills by ensuring that 35% of the Studios are reserved as affordable housing.

Folk’s Sunday Mills in Earlsfield is designed to impress: the eight-storey building has 315 beautifully-designed private studios and thoughtfully designed shared spaces for residents to come together and cook, enjoy social events, work-out and relax. There will also be included food hall concept situated in the building facing the river, offering different types of cuisine for both Folk and local Earlsfield residents to visit. The site is just a four-minute walk to Earlsfield train station, where residents can jump on a train to central London in just fifteen minutes.

Sunday Mills also boasts some incredible sustainable credentials: the building is powered on 100% renewable energy and Folk donates 1% of the net operating profit of the building back to local charities and community organisations. Folk is also installing beehives on a small island in the River Wandle, which runs next to the building, and will produce its own honey and offer residents the chance to learn bee keeping with free courses.

Paul Naylor, General Manager of Sunday Mills says,“The launch of Sunday Mills in Earlsfield is an exciting next step in Folk’s journey as we continue to offer hassle-free co-living in London. As our brand has grown over the past few months, we’ve been able to hone our offering, take all the best bits of co-living and combine them with state-of-the-art design and innovative technology to launch Sunday Mills. We’ve balanced the indoor and outdoor spaces perfectly by working with architects and positioning the building riverside, and we are really excited for our first residents to sign up and move in later this year!”
