Ginvent 2017 Review

Gin Foundry headed back to the Vinyl Factory in Soho on Friday the 1st and Saturday the 2nd of December. We ventured last year (www.onin.london/ginvent-review) and loved the event so we’re looking forward to what this year had to bring. As promised Gin Foundry has upped its game. Instead of being a ‘speed dating with gin’ type event – this year, it was a little more relaxed. With more tables, more space and more opportunities to mingle.

Your ticket entitled you to a 35ml-measure G&T upon entry and a cocktail of your choice from the bar. Hayman’s Gin was on hand to ensure the G&T tasted top notch. We then had access to an exclusive Ginvent Gin Palace where all 24 deliciously different G&Ts from the Ginvent Calrender were available. And for the bargain price of £5 each. It’s no wonder I was hungover the next day. There were also a number of Christmassy cocktails which were less than £10 each.

The fun part of Ginvent, is the the Ginvent Gins mini-masterclasses run by Gin Foundry’s Olivier Ward and other brand Ambassadors. We were treated to Sacred Gin, Haymans Gin, Sir Robin Of Locksley Gin and One Gin (to name a few). It was a great night out and I left with a bottle of Whitney Neil’s Rhubarb and Ginger Gin and a bottle of Hayman’s Sloe Gin.There was a pretty decent discount of 20%, so it would have been rude not to have made a few purchases.

Tickets to the four-hour event were only £17.50 each so don’t miss out next year.
