Introducing Marlene Brunch at Engel
Engel, the cocktail bar and restaurant nestled within The Royal Exchange, is proud to unveil its newest Saturday sensation: Marlene Brunch. Inspired by screen legend Marlene Dietrich and her iconic film Der Blaue Engel, this weekly series blends live music, theatrical flair, and indulgent brunch in a setting that channels the glamour of 1920s Berlin.
The series opens on 18th October with a performance by Selina Albright, known for her soulful, multi-genre vocals and evocative songwriting. On 25th October, see Burlesque Idol UK Winner and star of the world-renowned La Clique Miss Jolie Papillon. Upcoming acts include jazz favourite Natalie Williams, Voice UK winner Jermain Jackman, and the charismatic Atila Huseyin.

Set against Engel’s opulent interiors and the historic grandeur of the Grade I listed Royal Exchange, Marlene Brunch offers more than a meal—it’s an experience. Guests will enjoy a curated menu by chefs Samantha Williams and Lorena Tomassi, featuring signature dishes like Steak and Eggs and classic Apfelstrudel. Choose two or three courses, and elevate your afternoon with bottomless Spritz or Fizz, plus half-price bottles of Ruinart champagne.
Whether you’re drawn by the music, the decadence, or the culinary delights, Marlene Brunch brings a bold new energy to the City’s weekend scene.
