Introducing The Red Dog Saloon Burger Eating Contest Launching on July 1st Redefining how the UK eats cheeseburgers
Red Dog Saloon, the home of Austin Texas BBQ, known for their Hot Wings Challenge which has been making many a grown man (and woman) cry since 2012 is proud to announce their latest eating competition: The Red Dog Saloon Burger Eating Contest.
With a target of 13 burgers set by competitive eater extraordinaire Leah Shutkever the contest is on to beat the record and bank £5,000 in the process – the biggest cash prize for any eating contest in the UK, ever.
The rules of the game allow each contestant ten minutes to eat as many cheeseburgers as possible. Drinks are allowed throughout the contest, and participants must fully swallow any burgers in their mouths within 30 seconds of the buzzer.
Founder Tom Brooke believes the Red Dog Cheeseburger to be the best in the business. Having spent more than a decade perfecting the recipe, he believes it is now the best it has ever been. With one never being enough, only the contestants can decide how many is too many.
Launching on July 1st, the contest is available across all Red Dog Saloon sites.

How to Enter
- Entry fee: £50, which includes three cheeseburgers and an exclusive Red Dog Saloon baseball cap.
- Entrants who eat five burgers will earn the Red Dog Black Card—20 percent off for life—and a spot on our Wall of Fame.
- Finish ten burgers and you’ll walk away with a guaranteed £1,000 prize.
- Beat the current record and you’ll claim the ultimate £5,000 jackpot.
