Laura Mercier Eyeshadow: Review

 Laura Mercier

I recently purchased this stunning eyeshadow from Laura Mercier: Opal Fantasy. Despite the absolute beauty of the imprinted design, this isn’t what initially attracted to me to the shadow, as I was lured in by a somewhat well-used tester which showed no sign of such a gorgeous print. The mother-of-pearl like shimmer of the eyeshadow it what immediately attracted me. It is hard to see in the photos (more evident in the swatches) but it is slightly shot through with a lavender tone which looks stunning in the flesh.

The pale pink eyeshadow has a gentle shimmer and gives a subtle glow to the skin. As well as using it predominantly on the inner corner of my eyelids, I also use it as a highlighter on my brow bone, and lightly swept across my cheekbones. It has a really delicate and light texture which makes it a joy to apply, particularly with a soft, synthetic brush.

Opal Fantasy has quickly become my current favourite eyeshadow and I know I shall use it a lot during the Spring and Summer particularly as it is such a beautiful, pastel shade. I honestly do not have a negative word to say about this product, except that because the pattern is SO incredible, I am afraid to touch it in case I ruin it!

This Laura Mercier eyeshadow costs £20 and comes in two alternative shades and you can buy yours from Space NK or John Lewis.
