L’Objet Flagship Opens In Sloane Street

Luxury design and fragrance house L’OBJET celebrated the opening of their first UK flagship boutique this week.

We were shown the brand’s curated decor, fragrance and apothecary ranges. They were all showcased in a beautiful setting designed in collaboration with Creative Director and Founder  Elad Yifrach and Anno Mille Design Studio. A lifelong traveler with a global design perspective, Elad imbues every design with its own story, paying homage to both the cultures which inspire them and the artisans who bring them to life. L’OBJET creates designs for the home that are both luxurious and functional works of art, crafted with the highest degree of excellence and quality. There’s curving velvet shelves, plush carpets, a chocolate sofa and a limestone and stainless steel fragrance island. It’s an exquisite  setting.

Our eyes were drawn to a beautiful large swan bowl. Inspired by the beautifully detailed porcelain of the 19th century Empire period and with hand-gilded 24K gold it’s a nod to antiquity with modern grace. At £855 it was a bit out of our price range though! The Haas Niki Cake Stand (£3500+)  also captured our eye.

For those looking to revamp their dining experience, you may like the  Haas Lynda box with four plates designed to create an unforgettable serving ceremony (£610).  New items in the collection include Ruan Hoffmann Sweetheart + Mother Fu**ker Mugs, which may bring a sense of humour into your routine, blending playful design with the sophistication of royal blue and gold accents (£225 per pair or £115 separately). The Ruan Hoffmann Good/Bad Idea Plate shows its playful spirit with vibrant colours and is a more affordable £75. We admired the Prism collection, a glassware collection of bold color combinations, hand-cut and decorated to playfully reflect light. These martini glasses in assorted colours are £180 for set of 4, whilst the old fashion glasses are £135.

For candle lovers, there’s the beehive candle with hand-gilded drips of 24K golden honey or a birdcage hand-crafted porcelain candle with delicate finial detail and 24K gold accents, both for £175. We also learnt that Jewelry-making techniques are employed to create the most intricate gold or silver photo frames, priced from £295.

We also admired the Timma Vase in latte. This vessel with an ancient feel was inspired by the mineral tones of the earth around the biblical copper mines in the Arava desert of Israel, known as King Solomon’s Mines. It is sculpted and glazed by hand. As book lovers, we also loved the two set luxurious snake bookend set. It’s meticulously hand-crafted with marble and platinum or 24K gold-plated metal.

Into games? We laughed at the poses of the frogs on Haas tic-tac-toe. They are crafted from mother of pearl shell with multi-colored shell accents and individually sculpted brass pieces (over £1000). Or consider the Haas chess set inlaid with black and white stone, with individually sculpted brass pieces (£3780).

L’OBJET is located on Sloane Street, in the heart of Chelsea. The first flagship in London marks the 204£ anniversary of the brand.

L’OBJET is open Tuesday to Saturday 10am to 6pm, Sunday 11am to 5pm and closed Mondays.
