London Steak House Review
If you’re looking for a sophisticated yet cosy atmosphere, a tasteful choice of vino and you do not want to have to choose between quantity vs quality of food, then The London Steakhouse in Chelsea is a choice that can be made with confidence. With another restaurant in City, there are no restrictions in being able to access some delicious steak.
The small yet inviting establishment uses a cream and grey décor with chandler lighting, table lamps and engraved signature plates to create an elegant ambiance. My partner and I both selected the same food, starting with the Chicken Liver Parfait on toasted Brioche. The Parfait was perfectly smooth and the mix of red and green relish made the dish colourful and well presented.
The main was an easy choice for us both, the Ribeye, our favourite type of steak – feeling hungry we went with the 14oz with a side of house fries and a tomato, shallot and balsamic salad. The steak met our expectations with a subtle chargrilled taste being nicely seared on the outside and cooked medium rare which was clear as we slid our knife through – this was complimented by a bottle of red, obviously!.
We were left too full for dessert but content with what we had consumed – although I did catch sight of some dreamy looking desserts that I can only imagine tasted as good as they looked, most notably the sticky toffee pudding, another favourite of mine. My partner finished off with an Irish coffee to cleanse the pallet.
The waiters were attentive, the interior was attractive and the food was worth talking about!
