Madhu’s 2 Go at Harvey Nichols

In the corner of the 5th floor of luxury retailer Harvey Nichols, you will find the newly opened Indian restaurant Madhu’s 2 Go. Madhu’s 2 Go was born in 2020, to offer delivery, store collection and in-store dining. The venue’s Robata grill draws customers in to watch the chefs expertly cook meats, fish and vegetables over hot charcoal, in front of their eyes. Dark woods accented with green chairs and copper kitchenware gives the 18 person dining area a feeling of refinement.

The menu is a fusion of signature recipes passed down through generations and contemporary Punjabi and Kenyan inspired dishes. Vegan, Chilli Chicken and Seekh kebab wraps are increasingly popular stalwarts on the menu and sit well alongside their showcase Thali dishes. There are pops of delights such as their beautifully presented Palak Patta Chaat, a medley of British samphire, crispy baby spinach, chill, turmeric and tamarind chutney. It is a flavour bomb of a dish and like all of their dishes, served up in copper kitchenware.

The Thali, a crescent tray of copper pots containing a selection of flavours is one to try. Drawn in by the beautifully smokey Sakela Salmon and signature Robata Lamb Chop we opted for the non-vegetarian version. This also included Murgh Makhani, a creamy Dal, Pilau Rice, Tandoori Naan and Raita.

There are plenty of vegan and vegetarian options available like the Aloo Bindhi Masala, a lightly spiced potato and okra dish, and of course the Vegan Thali. If you have any room left following a flavour intensive Indian feast, try and squeeze in the Gajar ka Halva. It’s a sticky sweet carrot dish, caramelised with butter, sugar and fresh cream and perhaps one of our highlights.
