Meet Bros Review

We were invited to review Meet Bros in Shoreditch and as it is advertised as a Halal Asian Steakhouse, I didn’t know what to expect.

As it is a Halal restaurant, there is no alcohol served on site but instead, there is a great selection of mocktails, which was really refreshing to see. They were all packed full of fruity flavours and there were lots of alcohol-free versions of classic cocktails, so we didn’t miss the alcohol at all!

When it came to the food, we were overwhelmed by the choice; it all sounded so tempting. For starters, we shared the Duck Pancakes and Steak Sando. I loved that the duck pancakes were served with really fresh mini pancakes and the Steak Sando was perfect; I loved the dipping sauce it was served with, which I was told was a Korean BBQ sauce. I’m now determined to be able to replicate it myself at home….

For mains, my husband had a Steak and chips (which I’m told was lovely) and I had the Lamb Shank with mashed potato. Both portions were really generous and I loved the marinade on the lamb; it was sticky and sweet.

They also had a lovely dessert menu including Chocolate Fondant, Raspberry Chocolate Mousse and Baked Apple Filo Pastry – yum!

Overall, I was really impressed by the selection of food on the menu, the quality and the flavours – I’d really recommend giving it a go!
