Mestizo Marketplace Celebrates Their First Birthday

Tuesday night, ONIN.London visited authentic Mexican Market, Mestizo. The family-run multi-level Mexican restaurant, bar and marketplace near Euston station, celebrated the one-year anniversary of its marketplace. Mestizo Mexican Restaurant & Tequila Bar, opened 15 years ago with the sole aim of bringing to the UK an authentic Mexican cuisine.

The Mestizo Mexican Market is a specialist store with an authentic collection of furniture, decoration, clothing, handicrafts, tequila, mezcal and groceries all shipped directly from Mexico. We loved the bright eclectic collection in the market place and stocked up on some amazing Mexican goodies to take home at the end of the night. Mestizo Mexican Market will soon open an online store to provide it’s products to the rest of the UK and one day to the whole of Europe.

Sampling some of the food and drinks on offer during the night of celebration,shows that Mestizo has certainly achieved their goal. It was a great evening which showcased the amazing culture of Mexico and let us celebrate all that Mestizo has to offer.

Mestizo has over 300 brands of tequila and 40 different margaritas so you can be sure some of us were left with a headache the next day. Because you can bet on it that we happily enjoyed frozen margaritas while exploring the market place, watching the Mexican dancers, taking part in the chilli challenge, getting our nails done and taste testing amazing Mexican canapes from the restaurant upstairs.
