Michael Sebastian is a talented thief. He steals shamelessly; jazz, hip-hop, electronic and rock exist symbiotically in his creations. Combining volatile performance and hallucinatory lyricism over ornate grooves, he opens the dancefloor for the mind and body to dance as one.
The multi-instrumentalist and trained singer now composes, produces and records from a secret warehouse location in North London. Born under the African sun, he escaped the heat and exploited the cavern circuit in Edinburgh before travelling south in anticipation of infamy.
Having performed in bands ranging from funk to alternative hardcore; acted, written and directed comedy for the Edinburgh Festival; as well as survived a busking pilgrimage through Europe. Sebastian arrived in London with a singular purpose. Michael Sebastian.
Signing shortly after his arrival with Animal Farm records, he released his sophomore EP. Following that he assembled his explosive live band hitting all the historic haunts of the creative capital including Barfly, Roundhouse, 93 Feet East and Proud Camden to captivated clusters.
After accumulating momentum through a series of exceptional Live Sessions, Michael Sebastian is looking at larger in 2016. Gigs, Festivals and Releases; everything is in place.
