Thai Restaurant MIKO Mei Fair Launches in Mayfair this April
Samyukta Nair, the restaurateur behind Jamavar, Bombay Bustle, MiMi Mei Fair, and Nipotina, will be launching a new Thai restaurant, MIKO Mei Fair. Set to open in April 2026, the restaurant will bring together MiMi Mei Fair’s adventurous imagination with the culinary legacy of KOYN Thai, creating a vibrant lovechild shaped by fire, flavour, and feeling.
Conceived as a home away from home, MIKO Mei Fair is an elegant escape designed for sharing, conversation and convivial dining. Occupying the ground floor of MiMi Mei Fair’s beautiful Georgian townhouse, the intimate space can seat up to 50 guests and includes a private dining room for eight.
Led by Chef Soonthorn Apaipat, Head Chef of KOYN Thai, the menu is crafted for the table and rooted in the art of Thai balance: freshness and heat, refinement and heartiness, lightness and depth. It unfolds as a journey across Thailand, from the bold, punchy flavours of Isaan to the coconut-rich dishes of the South and the bright, harmonious cooking of Central Thailand.

Fire-led cooking lies at the heart of MIKO Mei Fair’s offering. The robata-style grill (a signature of KOYN Thai) takes centre stage, complementing the expressive warmth of Thai cuisine while elevating each dish in a distinctive MIKO Mei Fair style.
Menu highlights include an array of hero dishes, such as Netted Spring Rolls, Tofu & Spring Onion, Prawns Pla Ra, Toasted Rice Beef Tenderloin, Lobster Choo Chee and Apple Wood Fire Peking Duck Penang Curry – pairing MiMi Mei Fair’s iconic Apple Wood Peking Duck with Thailand’s much-loved Penang curry. Popular dishes from KOYN Thai, including the Chiang Mai Sausage, Black Pepper Squid, Pad See Ew, Lamb Massaman Curry and Yellow Crab Curry, will also feature on the menu.
Ingredient-led cooking sits at the core of the kitchen’s philosophy, and the bar follows suit with a cocktail menu built around tropical fruits, warming spices and bright citrus notes.
At its heart is Sabai Sabai, the signature serve capturing the convivial ease of Thai hospitality – a fragrant blend of Mekong rum, kaffir lime and Thai basil, lifted with soda. Playful yet refined, the list features the vibrant Thai Pink Spritz with champagne, pamplemousse and grapefruit, the bold Golden Mango Margarita with tequila blanco, Cointreau, ripe mango and lime; and the floral, smoky Hibiscus Negroni, combining hibiscus mezcal, sakura vermouth and Campari.

A considered selection of non-alcoholic serves ensures the same depth of flavour without the alcohol, including the nostalgic Dirty Soda with cola, fresh lime and coconut cream; and Akoya, a cooling mix of cucumber, Thai basil, lychee, lime and sparkling jasmine tea.
MIKO Mei Fair pairs maximalist interiors with relaxed yet refined cooking. The space retains its architectural framework, where teal and timber panelling, red leather booths and warm brass accents create a layered salon style setting inspired by the colours and textures of Thailand. Gold leaf lotus details and tropical wallcoverings subtly ground the space in place and culture, as guests move through a sequence of rooms designed for conversation.
Set discreetly behind elegant folding timber screens, the Peacock Room offers an intimate private dining experience for eight guests. Adorned with hand painted chinoiserie wallpaper, a symbol associated with beauty and prosperity in Thailand, the richly detailed space is shared by both MIKO Mei Fair and MiMi Mei Fair, uniting the Thai and Chinese concepts within the townhouse.
Behind the vision is Samyukta Nair, Creative Director & CEO of LSL Capital, who comments: “MIKO Mei Fair represents a natural evolution, bringing together warm, intimate dining with the focus and discipline of fire led cooking. It is a celebration of Thailand’s energy and generosity, expressed through layered interiors, vibrant ingredient led dishes and heartfelt hospitality. At its core is Thai cuisine prepared with precision and soul, grounded in craft and designed to be shared.
While MIKO Mei Fair and MiMi Mei Fair share the same townhouse and devotion to detail, they each have their own identity and spirit. We look forward to welcoming guests to experience Thailand from the heart of Mayfair, in a setting that feels both alive and deeply personal.”
