PHOTOGRAPHY ON GENDER BASED ISSUES: STRENGTHS AND LIMITS

Supported by Imperial College London, Photjournalism Hub has announced that they shall be hosting a special talk on the very hot topic of gender based issues on the 4thof February.

The Photojournalism Hub promotes photojournalism focused on social justice and connects, organises projects and events using the tool of photojournalism. The event will consist of a talk by Giovanna del Sarto (photojournalist) and Antonia Porter (artistic concept and audio), who will be presenting their multimedia project ‘Still figuring Out What it Means to be a Man’ exploring masculinity in the context of South Africa. 

This will be followed by Wamaitha Ng’ang’a (photojournalist) presenting ‘Speak Out’ an ongoing photography project on women telling the stories of survivors of domestic violence, before a post talk Q&A.
