Near & Far Review

Located in a vibrant area just 10minutes walk from London underground station Camden Town, the latest branch of the bar restaurant known as the Near & Far has opened.

Upon arrival of the restaurant’s launch party a few weeks ago, we were welcomed by friendly staff and offered a choice of beverages including cocktails and wines. I went for a cockatail ‘Duty Paid’ which went down great with the Mexican street food that followed all eve.

The venue has a warm low-lit ambiance making good use of plants, candles, flowery colours, as well as staff dressed in dashiki’s all of which contribute to giving off a vibe that’s reminiscent of a sunset in the tropics.

I was informed that all the food is gluten free and among the array of tasty bites I tried my favorites were definitely the fish tacos and the crab toastadas. These looked like little fire works frozen in time! While my friends bragged how good the grilled corn on the cob, dressed in a chipotle and cotija cheese was.

Upstairs there’s a terrace where you can smoke and like floors below it the décor is superfly. Probably a more desirable hang out in the summer though as it was very windy on the day we visited.

I had a great experience with my friends at Near & Far Camden as there were good food and drink, nice ambiance and chilled vibes.  I would recommend it to others and on Thursday’s and Saturday’s they shut at the later time of  2am so go give guests more chance to enjoy the DJ playing chilled house and latin music.
