Oscars Fashion Highlights 2014!
Firstly we would like to commend Ellen on her great job on hosting the Oscars, she had us laughing from the start. Her natural comedic flair alongside her very laid back style of talking meant that we were all looking forward to seeing her links to camera throughout the awards.

BEST DRESSED!
SANDRA BULLOCK
Teamed with a nice simple hairstyle and minimal make up fuss we feel this dress was so flattering on the actress. The rich dark navy material with the pleated detail on the side really enhanced her figure. Definately one of our favourite red carpet looks. Well done Sandra!

JENNIFER LAWRENCE
Jennifer was a close top runner behind Sandra in this Dior gown. Sheek with the peplum detail was very high fashion and less Hollywood typical glam meant she looked stunning. She did have a slight fall coming out of her car but not as big as the fall as she did last year. LOL. Also the back to front necklace we thought was original but not sure if it worked with that specific necklace?

LADY GAGA
Minus the scarf around her neck we feel this dress is stunning. The pattern gives Gaga an emphasis on her hour glass figure. The color is nice and the simple hairstyle flatters the whole look. We are glad she realised that Less definitely is More on this occasion!

MATTHEW MC CONAUGHEY AND CAMILA ALVES
This couple complemented each others understated sense of fashion. No major colors or accessories meant that the style shone through with this good looking couple. The clotted cream jacket could easily be taken off and Matthew would still look suave with his waistcoat on. Also the one- armed shoulder detail on Camila’s dress was formal and classy. We Love it!

CHARLIZE THERON
This Dior gown again was a good choice, however we think the clear straps was a bit of a let down. They are not discreet enough making it a little tacky. But away from that a beautiful black number.

KATE HUDSON
Kate Hudson reminds us of Jessica Rabbit in this dress. LOL. Sexy and sheer with minimal accessories meant the beauty of the dress could really shine through. The cape totally works as it looks like apart of the dress but obviously can be taken off. Classy!

MICHEAL STRAHAN
Michael looking cool and relaxed in his suit which complimented his stature and complexion. Its hard for the men on the red carpet to not look like cloned penguins in suits, so this step out on color was a great choice. Different and subtle we think he looks very handsome!

KERRY WASHINGTON
Last but not least…Well some may not agree as i heard many comments the she looked like she arrived in a bedsheet, but we thought she look comfortable. Remembering that she is pregnant we thought that this dress allowed her to feel comfortable without having the pressure of trying to wear a tight fitting dress and trying to pull of sexy. She still looked beautiful and radiant.

PHARRELL WILLIAMS AND HELEN LASICHANH
Pharrell and his wife Helen made us raise an eyebrow about there choice of outfit. We are not so surprised Pharrell decided to wear tux-shorts as we know he has a quirky sense of fashion. But the two of them next to each other looking very awkward in there mix-matched tux’s just made the whole outlook very messy and un-easy.

JENNIFER GARNER
Jennifer Garner made a bad choice as this dress doesnt compliment her figure and the layered tassled detail on the bottom half is busy with no real fashion statement. The color we think is not flattering to her complexion, so overall a 4 out of 10. She tried!

CHRISTINE TEIGEN
This burst of flowers across this pocketed gown we feel is a mess! The fact that the front stops short and she posed with her hands in her pockets just makes this look fell so wrong and un-comfortable. Shes a beautiful women and this dress does not compliment her at all we think!

Liza Minnelli looked as though she was on her way to a pyjama party and forgot to change her slippers to a heel. From her hair to the pose its just alllll wrong! We can say no more!
