Peroni Libera Terrazza Review

In parallel with the launch of Peroni’s new 0.0% beer – Libera – Alto by San Carlo on the rooftop of Selfridges has been transformed into Peroni Libera Terazza to celebrate.

This truly Italian terrace is showcasing a menu created by British broadcaster Alice Levine with cuisine that perfectly complements the Peroni Libera 0.0%. Unfortunately, the terrace was wrapping up, but Alto by San Carlo was kind enough to let us sample the menu in their restaurant. Their staff was very accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience.

The menu recommends beverages to pair with the meals. But I couldn’t go past the offerings which pair with the Peroni Libera 0.0%. These were Antipasto Di Terra – a handpicked selection of cured meats and antipasti from around Italy – plus the Pasta Libera Ragu – paccheri pasta served with a Tuscan pork sausage flavoured with the Peroni Libera 0.0% itself. Personally, I could have enjoyed several portions of the main as it was outstanding.

As always with Italian food the flavours were simple yet delicious but the star of the show and why we are all here is the Peroni Libera 0.0%. It is great to see Peroni join the non-alcohol movement providing a crisp and refreshing alcohol free beer to be enjoyed when you don’t want the headache. With big name brands releasing low or no alcohol options for their beers lifts the stigma behind drinking these kinds of beers. People can enjoy social environments without feeling forced to only endure water or soft drinks as their non-alcoholic options or feel pressured into drinking alcoholic beers. I think Peroni Libera 0.0% is a great addition to an already expanding range of non-alcoholic options and that can only be a good thing in my eyes.
