Radio Rooftop Launch Review

Last week we were invited to the launch of the Bombay Botanical Garden and Patrón Mexican Hacienda themed terraces pop-up at ME London’s iconic rooftop bar in London’s West End, the – Radio Rooftop.

ME London Hotel’s iconic bar with panoramic views of London – will launch the Spirit of Summer terraces this spring in collaboration with Patrón Tequila and Bombay Sapphire. Located on the 10th floor, each terrace has been transformed into exclusive, immersive space perfect for enjoying the warmer weather and the unique views across the River Thames. Each side – one a Mexican Hacienda and the other a Botanical Garden – represent these world-renowned brands; their heritages translated through design and innovative food and drink menus. The Spirit of Summer terraces will operate throughout summer until late October.

The Patrón Mexican Hacienda terrace is gorgeous and serves a selection of delicious summer tequila cocktails and Margaritas. This area can holdup to 20 people in the sunshine or under cover and heated on cooler evenings. Prices start from £75 per person, for groups with a minimum of 8 and maximum 20 guests for use of the Hacienda for up to 2 hours and includes four sharing platters as well as six jugs of fruity margaritas. Guests can choose from eight flavoured pitchers, including watermelon, melon, strawberry, raspberry, lemon, lime, mango and pineapple.

The Patròn cocktails we enjoyed were Pine for me, Media Luna and  Fruity with a boost. So don’t miss out on these! You’ll be in heaven.

Our favourite terrace were we spent the majority of our time was the gin themed terrace. Specifically the Bombay Botanical Garden terrace. Drinks served were a selection of crisp, refreshing drinks filled with fruits and herbs with different takes on the classic Gin & Tonic.

Prices start at £75 per guest for a minimum of six guests to enjoy the shed for two hours. This includes a bottle of Bombay Sapphire English Estate and a selection of mixers by Double Dutch and botanicals to enhance the drinks, as well as three sharing boards. Each shed can accommodate up to 10 guests and can also be booked together for a party of 20. Make sure you sample every single one of the gin cocktails… they are divine.

Our favourite Bombay cocktails though were the Summer & light, Spiced and Delicate, Fruity with a boost, Dolce peccato and the lètè Indien.

During the evening we were also lucky enough to taste test the Afternoon tea available on each terrace and throughout Radio Rooftop, bringing elements of both sides together with tasty treats including, Pollen and gin-cured salmon on an English cod’s roe tartlet, Lemon and Earl Grey tarts, Orange and tequila shortbread and Lime and tequila-infused strawberries and cream. The afternoon tea is available for £28 per person, with a choice of herbal teas or £40 with the addition of a crisp glass of champagne or a cocktail.

Make sure you head on down to Radio Rooftop this summer. You won’t regret it! The view is spectacular and the vibe is on point! You’ll love it!
