Afternoons in Bloom” to launch at The Greenhouses Marylebone
Some afternoons deserve to be savoured slowly. ‘Afternoons in Bloom’ is a new ticketed event series at The Greenhouses Marylebone – a collection of carefully curated experiences designed to delight the senses, spark connection, and turn an ordinary weekend into something worth remembering, each one deliciously incorporating afternoon tea.
The first two events have now been announced on Saturday 25th July and Sunday 2nd August, welcoming two exceptional collaborators through the doors at the beautifully floral setting of The Greenhouses Marylebone.
Saturday 25th July, Guided Wine Tasting Afternoon Tea with Graft
This isn’t your usual afternoon tea. Join a narrative-led wine tasting experience where each pour becomes a story – exploring origin, aroma, and the art of pairing as you move through the savoury and sweet afternoon tea courses. Graft is an independent wine importer based in south London, proud to represent some of the finest wine growing talent on the planet.
The experience includes afternoon tea with unlimited tea and four tasting-sized wines.
Sunday 2nd August, Fragrance Blending Afternoon Tea with Ribbon & Bow
Scent is one of the most personal things we carry with us. In this hands-on fragrance blending experience, you’ll explore a curated collection of aromas, learn the language of top, heart and base notes, and craft a 10ml blended fragrance that is entirely your own. A beautiful gift to yourself or someone you love. Ribbon & Bow is a creative studio founded by two sisters united by a deep love of scent and the joy of making something beautifully your own. Together they craft immersive, warmly hosted experiences that connect people through creativity.
The experience includes afternoon tea with unlimited tea, a glass of bubbles on arrival, and a 10ml blended fragrance to take home.
The Greenhouses Afternoon Tea Menu
Afternoon Tea at The Greenhouses features Middle-Eastern inspired finger sandwiches of roast marinated beets with Labneh, truffle honey and dukkah brittle, alongside pomegranate-cured salmon, with fennel and rose harissa crème fraiche – both served on challah bread.
Savoury snacks are made up of moreish bites of harissa chicken with sweetcorn, chicken brittle and pickled mango; spiced lamb Scotch egg with crème fraîche; and wild mushroom sausage roll with caramelised red onion, feta and dukkha.
Of course, no afternoon tea would complete without scones. The Greenhouses afternoon tea includes fresh fruit scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream.
Finish with sweet treats including glazed lemon meringue pie, spiced carrot cake with candied walnut, and pumpkin seed and glazed chocolate & pistachio éclair.
Tickets to Afternoon in Bloom summer events are £65 per person.
