REKOVERED – TECHNICAL BACKPACKS BY KOVERED, SET TO TAKE YOU TO NEW LIMITS

In April 2023, Onin.London are venturing on a two week road trip along the California coast, but before we go we’re testing out some of the must have items when taking a trip.
Kovered, got in contact with us and wanted us to test out ReKovered – the latest collection of technical bags by the UK sustainable bag brand.
First who are Kovered? Well the brand launched in Bath in 2013 and have sold over 25,000 Kovered bags. They focus on bags made from 100% recycled materials, and the new range brings a technical elevation to the brand. Each style has been carefully designed and manufactured with explorers in mind to ensure they deliver on the toughest of routes.
The collection includes two backpacks (Dee and Arrow) and a holdall (Trent). We were sent the Arrow to test out.
The Arrow is a a fully functional rolltop and water-repelling technical backpack priced at £105.00. While pricer than other backpacks, this one is built to last, saving you money replacing your backpack in the future. The thing we love the most about the brand is sustainability and the best thing about Kovered is that their sticking to their promise to reduce landfill.
Arrow promises to be an extremely durable backpack, made with water-repellent bluesign® approved materials. There’s numerous zipped compartments to keep tech safe and the material is a water repellent, recycled ballistic nylon fabric. This ensures your items will stay dry in case of an accident.

Upon receiving the bag, it’s safe to say it does stand up to this. Water testing the bag, really did prove their claim as my contents stayed dry! My laptop and phone which were the outer pockets stayed dry when my water bottle inadvertently spilt inside when I forgot to put the lid on properly.

The zipped rolltop backpack and front snap buckle closure are designed to maximise functionality and keep your items well protected. It features a foam-padded back panel that fits up to a 15″ laptop to store your tech safely. Now as someone with back problems, this feature really did help and I’m sure I won’t be just using this backpack for travel. It’s going to become a regular backpack for when I need to venture into the office.
It is a bit bigger than what Easy Jet and Ryan Air allow, but the roll down top did make it fit into the dimensions under the seat. Key specs include:
  • Capacity: 24l
  • Dimensions: H48cm x W30cm x D17cm
