Review: Interactive Theatre International present ‘The Wedding Reception’

They chose to have an intimate wedding, but whether they liked it or not, everyone turned up for Kate and Will’s belated wedding reception at the Kingsway Hall Hotel.

After meeting some of the guests, some of whom were part of the show, we were escorted into the reception room where we were treated to a two-hour immersive show with a 3-course meal (which was included with the price of the ticket).

The four actors in this interactive comedy were brilliant. They cleverly switched from one role to another throughout the production, with some playing up to three different roles.

The show was as interactive as you wanted it to be, but the more you joined in, the better the experience! Some of the audience played the roles of bridesmaids, a wedding dress designer and even the cake maker!

As Kate and Will’s family story unfolded in front of their guests (that was us) came to discover exactly why no invites were sent out for their big day…
