Sabine Review

Sabine serves spectacular views and cocktails in the heart of St Pauls, and we were invited to try their selection of cocktails, small plates and bar snacks.

The cocktail and wine menus are extensive and made it difficult for someone as indecisive as I am to make a choice! They make all the classic cocktails and the team were really helpful when I told them what I liked/disliked, and I ended up ordering a Kahlo Kiss – Mezcal, bergamot liqueur, lime juice, cranberry and raspberry tea, cinnamon syrup and egg white.

The biggest surprise of the evening was the quality of the food, which was a real highlight along with the views and the cocktails.

We ordered a selection of small plates, all of which are on the menu for £9 each. We had Baked sourdough served with a whipped truffle butter, Spicy chicken tacos (probably my fave of the small plates), Mozzarella stuffed gnocchi, Miso glazed shitake gyoza, Crispy calamari fries and Truffle mac n cheese bon bons with truffle mayo.

We then followed this by sharing Tandoori prawn skewers, Pulled beef bulgogi tostadas, Crisp potatoes and Charred broccolini, served with a black tahini dressing.

I was really impressed by the flavours and quality of the food, and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a similar dining experience in the area.

Some evenings, they also have live musicians and DJs, and event spaces can be booked; all with a stunning view of St Paul’s Cathedral.
