Shavasana Disco: MASSIVE ATTACK ‘BLUE LINES’ MEDITATION & ALBUM PLAYBACK

This December Will Williams, famous for his innovative fusion of music and meditation is proud to announce a Massive Attack special of Shavasana Disco. Following on from Radiohead’s ‘The Bends’ supercool session at Rak Studios, this series of music events provides a truly unique auditory experience through guided meditation.

On the 2nd December 2017, Will Williams’ Shavasana Disco is set to celebrate Massive Attack’s trippy debut studio album ‘Blue Lines’ at London’s Eastcote studios where it was first cut to tape on a prestigious state of the art sound system. Eastcote Studios founded in 1980 has rocked recording sessions from legends such as Depeche Mode, Durran Durran, Grace Jones and more. Not just your average studio then..

The pioneers of trip-hop, Massive Attack set the pace for much of the dance music that emerged throughout the 90s. Brooding, dark, eclectic and beautifully mellow, this Bristol based band’s ground-breaking debut studio album ‘Blue Lines’, transcended genres and sounds plunging listeners directly into their psyche with the metropolitan angst of ‘Safe from Harm’ to the memorable lyrics ‘Though you may not drive a great big Cadillac..’ in ‘Be thankful for what you’ve got’. A fusion of many music genres, Massive Attack established itself as one of the most innovative British bands of the 90s. A deep session of group vedic mediation will be followed by a full play of the world-renowned album which couldn’t sound more meditational if it tried. We’ll all be feeling a bit tripped out by the end that’s for sure. The mixture of sounds are going to be spine-tingling.

The event is 100% free, but due to the growing popularity of these events, tickets must be won through a ballot.

A limited number of tickets are available to win via ballot entry at www.shavasanadisco.com

The event takes place at Eastcote Studios on December 2nd at 11am-1pm

Address: Eastcote Studios 249 Kensal Rd, London W10 5DB
