Silent Pool Gin Cocktails for Easter
CRACKING’ COCKTAILS FOR EASTER WITH
SILENT POOL GIN
With Easter tomorrow, shops and supermarkets are bursting at the seams with chocolate eggs waiting to be taken home and hidden, ready for the yearly Easter egg hunts. However, if you’re looking for a more grown up twist to this year’s tradition, why not whip up some chocolate-laced Easter cocktails with Silent Pool Gin?
Gin and chocolate work beautifully together, and one of the first examples of this combination in a cocktail was by a British bartender in the 1930s. His creation, the Twentieth Century cocktail, remains a well-loved classic to this day. Featuring gin, Lillet, lemon juice and crème de cacao (chocolate liqueur), it was named in honour of the train that ran between Manhattan and Chicago for much of the century.
Silent Pool’s new product development expert and esteemed bartender, Stuart Bale has created a modern take on the pairing, creating two cocktails featuring Silent Pool Gin and Mozart chocolate liqueurs especially for this Easter. Influenced by the twentieth century cocktail, here’s his two twists with the ‘White’ and ‘Dark’ chocolate Albury Flips named after the beautiful Albury estate where the Silent Pool Distillery is situated.
