Sundays at The Ladbroke Arms
Beautiful country pub in the heart of Notting Hill
In West, you’ll find a lovely neighbourhood pub, The Ladbroke Arms. The Ladbroke is a cosy neighbourhood pub nestled in the heart of Notting Hill.
With a warm, inviting atmosphere, a menu of seasonal dishes, and a curated selection of drinks, it’s the perfect spot for relaxed afternoons, celebratory dinners, or just a quick pint with friends. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, The Ladbroke Arms is your home away from home.
Sunday are the best time as The Ladbroke does a pretty phenomenal roast dinner. The dining room is quaint and traditional with a diverse menu of seasonal dishes. To start, decide between Roasted Beetroot, walnut tarator with toast kasha and tarragon dressing, or copy me and try the Sherry Cured Salmon with ajo blanco, keta caviar and sourdough crackling, which was delicious!

Prior to ordering you can enjoy a simple cocktail too. Choose between a classic Bloody Mary, a Passionfruit Martini or a Spicy Margarita.
For mains, each dish is served alon2gside roast potatoes, maple roast carrots, hispi cabbage, carrot puree, Yorkshire pudding and a thick, rich gravy. Guests can choose between a beautiful Mixed Mushroom & Goat’s Cheese Wellington, a 28-day aged rump cap Pincanha, Roast Pork Belly and a Roast Chicken Breast with pigs in blankets.
I’m physically unable to avoid pigs in blankets, so went with the latter which was tender and delicious with plenty of veggies and roast potatoes. The cauliflower cheese is also a must-order. The wine list is a nice mix of European wines and all listed from a reasonable pricepoint for the area. I had a delicious Tempranillo which is always well suited to a roast and on the lower pricepoint.

Desserts are a full range of classics. From Chocolate Fondant to Sticky Toffee Pudding. I opted for the Apple Crumble served with brandy custard. It reminded me of the puddings my grandma used to make. Be sure to leave time for a long walk after, you will leave full, but there is so much beautiful architecture to explore in the local area.
This pub is also a perfect summer spot. It has a pretty terrace, perfect for sunny days and balmy evenings, and a traditional bar, all cared for by a dedicated team of happy and hard-working staff.
