Tigermilk Charing Cross Road, London

Fresh from Paris and fizzing with Latin energy, Tigermilk has landed in London – and it’s made quite the entrance. Taking over 127 Charing Cross Road, this is the first UK outpost of a fast growing restaurant group that’s already charmed France with its spirited take on Latin American dining.

The concept? A vibrant love letter to the flavours of Mexico, Peru, and beyond, reimagined with flair, fire, and a refreshing lack of stuffiness.

The interior sets the tone before the first plate even hits the table. Designed by Tigermilk’s in-house team and Soho House alum Christie Ward, the two-floor space is richly styled with white and red marble, mirrored ceilings, tropical greenery, and a bar that glows like an altar to mezcal. It’s theatrical without being overwhelming—cool, confident, and just a little decadent.

The menu follows suit: fun, generous, and full of bold flavour. Standout dishes include the guacamole, which isn’t just a side – it’s an experience. Made to order at a dedicated station beside your table, it’s mashed, seasoned, and tailored exactly how you like it. It’s this kind of personal, interactive touch that captures Tigermilk’s vibe: relaxed but thoughtful, with just the right amount of spectacle.

The Carne Asada (steak) is another winner. Chargrilled and deeply savoury, it’s marinated just enough to add depth without masking the flavour of the beef, and comes with a punchy side of chimichurri that brings everything to life. The cochinita pibil tacos, slow-cooked and spiced, are rich and tender, while the dorade ceviche with strawberries adds an unexpected sweetness to the citrusy zing.

Larger dishes like the rocoto-glazed lamb shoulder are made for sharing and don’t disappoint with fall-apart texture, smoky spice, and a real sense of occasion when it lands on the table.

Desserts feel just as considered. The maracuyá tiramisu layers passionfruit and cream into something tall, tangy, and indulgent, while the dulce de leche cheesecake is impossibly rich and silky. It’s comfort food turned luxury.

Drinks are another major draw. While the list is full of mezcal-spiked signatures and playful Latin twists, the Isabella Sour was the star of the show. Bright, balanced, and dangerously drinkable. It perfectly bridged the line between classic and contemporary, just like the food. With over 250 agave spirits behind the bar, you could happily lose an evening here on cocktails alone.

Service is upbeat and well-informed, with staff happy to guide you through the menu or recommend their favourites. There’s a real buzz to the place – even early in the evening, it already feels like a spot with a loyal following.

Tigermilk isn’t trying to be “authentic” – it’s going for fun, flavour, and atmosphere, and it nails all three. With memorable food, standout cocktails, and a party spirit that doesn’t feel forced, this is one of the most exciting new arrivals in central London.
