What to do this bank holiday!

The countdown is officially on for the August bank holiday weekend, and as there’s no Notting Hill Carnival this year, destination venues Peckham Levels and Pop Brixton are bringing a taste of carnival to South London instead.

Both venues are hosting full weekends of live music and DJs – and what’s more all the events are free! As well as amazing lineups, guests at each venue can expect full stocked bars (rum cocktail anyone?) + amazing street food from some of London’s finest traders (including acclaimed Caribbean eatery Caribe at Pop Brixton).

Pop Brixton:
Carnival Friday Vibez (Fri Aug 27th @ 7pm – 11.30pm) – Expect the sound of SOCA, DANCEHALL, REGGAE, AFROBEATS and more all evening long! There’ll also be an amazing steel band and a Carnival costume or two!

Pop Presents: Stay Free (Sat 28th Aug @ 8.30pm – 11.30pm) – A DJ night curated by Reprezent Radio and featuring Latin Music Collective Stay Free. Expect everything from reggaeton to bailefunk, soca and dancehall.
B3 – Bank Holiday Carnival Special (Sun Aug 29th @ 12pm – 10pm) –  A very special day to night party from the acclaimed Afarari Records, featuring established DJ’s and rising stars. Previous residents at B3 events include hitmaker Afro B, BBC’s Kenny Allstar and Rinse FM’s P Montana.

Peckham Levels:
Moor Love: Open Mic Night  (Thurs 26th Aug @ 7.30pm to 10pm) – The new monthly open mic night will welcome all creatives to perform including singers, musicians, poets, story tellers, comedians and dancers.

Bubble & Bend  (Sat 28th Aug @ 7pm till close) – Peckham Levels is proud to present a carnival weekend extravaganza! A night full of Vibes, Whines and Good Energy! Featuring live music, DJs and some very special guests, as well as carnival costumes and a full parade.
