Yauatcha and Tanqueray No. TEN Tea Garden Review

Summer is on the way and to celebrate, Yauatcha and Tanqueray No. TEN have teamed up to create the Tanqueray Tea Garden. Here you’ll discover their unique Gin and Tea concoctions which are simply delicious.

We were able to sample two of the gin and teas. The first, names Tanqueray No. TEN and Jasmine, comprised of jasmine green tea, Fever-Tree light tonic and lemongrass. Our favourite by far was Tanqueray No. TEN and Classic Beauty which contained classic beauty blue tea, fever-tree light aromatic tonic and strawberries. With the pink colouring and strawberries, the drink was crisp and refreshing with the feel of summer. We could picture ourselves sitting for hours on a summer day drinking this deliciousness.

For these lovely cocktails we have to thank Eder Neto, Head of Bar, and Alistair Reynolds, award-winning mixologist and Tanqueray ambassador. The contemporary mixology method of flash infusion was use to create a perfect blend between citrus and grapefruit tones of the gin and the delicate, floral tones of the teas.

The Chinese tradition of enjoying a tea with a dim-sum is brought to life for a modern audience at Yauatcha. The selection of dim sum compliment the exotic and refreshing tastes of the gin and teas. We sampled the venison puff, dried edamame bean and crispy duck roll.

To create the atmosphere of a Chinese garden, the East Terrace has been covered with green foliage, lanterns and candles. The terrace directly overlooks Broadgate Circle. There was a lovely, laid-back atmosphere perfect for drinks (and dim sum) with friends after work or on weekends.

Yauatcha City opened in May 2015, and is the second Yauatcha branch to open in London following the success of its Michelin-starred restaurant in Soho. Yauatcha is an all day dim-sum dining experience. It presents Cantonese dishes with a modern influence and serves over 30 types of tea. Yauatcha City has two bars and two restaurants.

Along with the Tea Garden, there will be gin and tea infusion masterclasses. Here you can learn how to infuse Tanqueray No. TEN with different teas.

The restaurant is open Monday to Wednesday 12pm – 10.30pm and Thursday to Saturday 12pm – 11.30pm. The Yauatcha Patisserie Counter is open Monday to Friday 11am – 7pm. Both terraces and bars can be hired exclusively for up to 60 people each, or a terrace and bar can be combined for adjoining indoor and outdoor space for 120 guests.

The Tanqueray Tea Garden is now open and is a great way to enjoy summer.
