Jiyo 滋養 a menu by Masaki Sugisaki and Emily English, coming January 2026 to Dinings SW3
Renowned nutritionist Emily English has teamed up with restaurant Dinings SW3 in Chelsea to create a limited-edition January lunch menu – a nutrient-rich three courses designed to refuel and reinvigorate during the first few weeks of the new year.
The menu, available January 7th to 31st, is a hybrid of Dinings SW3’s Chef Owner Masaki Sugisaki’s signature style – drawing on Japanese influences with a Western twist – and Emily English’s in-depth knowledge of how to properly fuel our bodies. Jiyo 滋養, which means ‘to renourish’ in Japanese, is rooted firmly in the philosophy Emily English has titled as ‘Vitamin Joy’.
A BSc Nutritionist, Emily English brings together her nutritional expertise with a love of cooking, has racked up millions of followers across her recipe-led social media channels, and is a bestselling author of the cookbooks So Good and Live to Eat. Through her work, Emily strives to negate common misconceptions surrounding nutrition, sharing practical advice and vibrant recipes that never compromise the joy of eating. The Jiyo menu will be available to enjoy at the restaurant on Walton Street or to order online via Deliveroo at lunchtime.
Priced at £35 for three courses, the menu starts with a portion of Super Collagen Broth Miso Soup, served with julienned winter root vegetables and the optional topping of Masaki’s secret recipe 20-ingredient chilli oil. A vegetarian alternative, using a dried mushroom and kombu broth-based miso soup, will also be available.
The main course is the Superfood ‘Chirashi’ poke bowl, which combines omega-3-rich, high-protein tuna, yellowtail and chalk-stream trout with roasted sesame soy, avocado, edamame beans, seaweed and pickled ginger. A spicy miso tofu bowl version will also be available.
Antioxidant cacao truffle bites made with coconut cream, Japanese cane sugar and roasted popped brown rice completes the menu. Emily English has also worked with the Dinings SW3 bar team to create two cocktails to accompany the menu, a Lime & celery margarita and Tomatini.
Emily English commented: I’m so excited to be partnering with Chef Masaki and Dinings SW3 on Jiyo, a menu created to re-nourish rather than deprive, especially at a time of year when so many people feel pressured to restrict. Jiyo is the Japanese word for nourishment, and that idea runs through every dish, think collagen-rich broths, omega-3 packed proteins, rainbow vegetables, and high fibre five-grain rice. We wanted the Jiyo menu to feel comforting and satisfying, but built on real nutrition, food that supports your skin, energy and mood, while still tasting like a meal out at one of my favourite restaurants in London.
Masaki Sugisaki said:
‘We’re so excited to have worked with Emily on this menu. It’s a great way to mark what can be quite a joyless month, and we’ve had a lot of fun deciding on the flavour combinations together — we are so happy with the final dishes. I may have been cooking for 30 years, but Emily’s knowledge of the nutritional qualities of ingredients is far beyond what I can claim to know, so it’s been great to learn from her. Whilst the menu has health benefits, most importantly we wanted to create something comforting, flavourful and fun, but which can offer a few added benefits when we may need a little boost.’
