Brook & Badger Review
If you’re looking for a nice pub with a good vibe and even better food, run don’t walk to the Brook & Badger.
From the minute we stepped in, the vibe was warm and welcoming and I loved the decor in the restaurant area specifically. The staff were straight away on hand to make us feel at home and to advise us what to order from their very tempting menu.
There was an extensive wine and cocktail list, but we both opted for a refreshing soft drink before ordering our starters. To start, we shared the lightest Whipped Cod’s Roe on toast, Ham Croquettes (which my OH said were delicious) and Steak Tartare; which my OH said was the best steak tartare he’s ever had, and I couldn’t help but agree!
For mains, we went for pub classics and I had a Beer Battered Haddock, Chips and Mushy Peas and my OH had a Hanger Steak with Fries and Chimichurri. Both were very generous portions and the flavours were great. Think classic pub food, but much better quality!
Whilst the dessert menu looked equally tempting, we were both so full. I was tempted by the Rhubarb and Pear Crumble and the Sticky Toffee Pudding.
I can’t recommend our experience highly enough – the food was fantastic and so was the service, and I only wish I lived closer; or had a pub near my flat that was as good as the Brook & Badger!
My only negative for the restaurant is that it’s a little bit of a walk away from Fulham Broadway station, but it’s definitely worth travelling for – you won’t regret it!
