Rycrofte’s Restaurant, Coffeehouse and Bar Set To Open at The Derby London City Curio Collection by Hilton
Opening next month, Rycrofte’s arrives as the signature all-day dining restaurant within one of the capital’s newest hotels The Derby London City, Curio Collection by Hilton, bringing contemporary British flair to one of London’s most storied neighbourhoods.
Situated beside St Dunstan-in-the-East, Rycrofte’s is set to become a hidden gem in the heart of London’s historic financial district. Blending quiet elegance with a refined yet relaxed experience, the restaurant reimagines classic British cuisine with inventive modern touches and fresh, seasonal ingredients.
Inspired by Sir John Rycrofte – Sergeant of the Larder to Henry VII and Henry VIII – the menus will balance tradition and creativity, with fresh and local ingredients. Dishes include Spicy Buttermilk Chicken, Beetroot Cured Salmon, Ale-battered Fish & Chips, Slow-braised Short Rib, and Seasonal Vegetable Pie. Desserts feature Honey Apple Tart, Chocolate Brownie, Eton Mess and a curated selection of British Cheese.

Designed to feel both welcoming and memorable, the restaurant aims to create a place where guests and locals can gather, from morning coffee through to evening drinks, enjoying food that is thoughtful, seasonal and distinctly British.
William Hunter, General Manager at The Derby London City said: “Rycrofte’s embodies the spirit of The Derby London City, where guests can discover modern British dining in one of the city’s most historic settings. With our connection to St Dunstan‑in‑the‑East and the rich stories woven through the hotel, Rycrofte’s is more than a restaurant; it’s an experience rooted in the character of this remarkable neighbourhood. We’re thrilled to open our doors and share it with our guests.”

Guests can also enjoy The Golden Hour, a nightly ritual at 5:10pm, inspired by the hotel’s 5–10 Great Tower Street address, when the bar showcases its cocktail of the day. The bar itself, with its elegant horseshoe shape and stained‑glass window, echoes the architecture of the neighbouring church, strengthening the connection between place and design.
Rycrofte’s has also partnered with Newby Teas to introduce The Guild Tea Ritual, a refined afternoon tea served on a bespoke stained‑glass‑inspired stand overlooking St Dunstan-in the-East church garden. Dedicated Tea Sommeliers guide guests through a curated selection of teas for an elevated experience.
Bookings for Rycrofte’s are now open, and guests are invited to be among the first to experience this new dining destination. To reserve a table visit rycroftes.co.uk.
