The Best Reformer Pilates Classes in London Right Now
London’s reformer scene has evolved far beyond slow-and-steady core work. After trying each of these myself, what stands out is just how different they feel, same machine, completely different experience. From high-intensity, music-led sessions to slower, more technical formats, here’s a personal edit of the studios shaping London’s reformer moment.
BODYROK London
This is where I go when I want reformer to feel properly challenging. BODYROK brings that LA-style Lagree burn – slow, controlled movements that somehow feel harder the longer you hold them. It’s intense without being high impact, and definitely one for when you want to leave feeling like your muscles have really been put to work.
FS8
FS8 feels the most hybrid of the lot. The class I took blended reformer with functional training and a bit of yoga-inspired movement, so it never felt repetitive. It’s fast-paced and varied, which makes it a good option if you get bored easily or want something that feels closer to a full-body workout than traditional Pilates. There’s also a screen to follow alongside the instructor, which is good if you get lost in reformer sometimes.
LIM Studio
LIM Studio has a completely different energy – quieter, more considered, and very focused on detail. I did a one-to-one session here, which was genuinely one of the best reformer experiences I’ve had in London. The level of attention to form and alignment makes a noticeable difference, especially if you’re trying to refine technique rather than just get through a workout.
tenreformer

tenreformer feels like the most technical and instructor-led of the group. Classes are nice and intimate, so there’s a lot of correction and hands-on guidance, and you come away feeling like you’ve actually improved how you move, not just had a good session.
1Rebel
1Rebel is at the other end of the spectrum. Think dark studio, loud music, and a much more high-energy take on reformer. The class I took felt dynamic and quite fast-moving, with more of a fitness-class atmosphere than a traditional Pilates studio. It’s a good entry point if you’re used to gym classes and want something familiar but still reformer-based. Very fun also!
Virgin Active
Virgin Active’s reformer offering is more part of a full gym package, but it fits easily into a broader routine. The classes are solid and consistent, and what really stands out is the overall setup, some of the locations also have very impressive facilities, including incredible pools, which makes it easy to turn a workout into something more restorative and worthwhile.
