Forget everything you know about ordinary cookery classes. At Cinnamon Kitchen City, guests are invited to step behind the pass and into the world of acclaimed chef Vivek Singh with a series of immersive weekend masterclasses celebrating the bold flavours, techniques and stories behind modern Indian cooking.
Taking place at the restaurant’s Devonshire Square home near Liverpool Street, the exclusive experiences offer a rare opportunity to learn from the chefs who have helped shape The Cinnamon Collection’s pioneering approach to Indian cuisine. Devised by Vivek Singh and led by him alongside senior chefs from the group, including Rakesh Ravindran and Raju Ramachandran, each session explores a different theme; from flame-fired barbecue feasts and Indian-inspired brunch dishes to regal recipes once served in the royal courts of India.
More than simply a cooking lesson, the masterclasses unfold as a relaxed culinary journey. Guests arrive at 9:30am for breakfast and an engaging introduction to the spices, ingredients and traditions that underpin Indian cooking. From there it’s aprons on and dish creation under expert guidance before sitting down for a leisurely lunch with wine.
The experience concludes at 3pm, where participants will leave armed with new skills and recipes as well as a signed cookbook from Vivek so they can bring some Cinnamon magic back to their own kitchens.
