108 Brasserie Review

I love having a wander around Marylebone but rarely go out to eat in the area, so I was really excited to try 108 Brasserie. 108 Brasserie is at the back of The Marylebone Hotel on the cobbles of Marylebone Lane. Fortunately the weather was great, so we sat out on their terrace – which is the perfect spot to sit and watch the world go by!

There is nothing better than a cocktail in the sunshine whilst people watching, so we both ordered a Blackberry Sour: Monkey 47 Gin, Italicus, Lychee Syrup, Mireabeau “La Folie” Rosé, Lemon Juice and Aquafaba. Sweet and refreshing, and perfect for a summer catch up!

We visited on a Sunday and they serve Sunday Roasts that blend classic flavours with contemporary flair. I was too tempted by the rest of the menu to order one, but good excuse to go back!

Their Spring menu has some really light and summery dishes including Burrata and Spring Green Soup, but we went straight to mains. I had my eye on the Thai Yellow Curry with chicken, sweet potato, aubergine and green beans and it didn’t disappoint. My other half had the Fried Fillet of Haddock with delicious pea pea purée, tartare sauce and chips. I noticed on the menu that if you order the fish and chips, £1 will be donated to Hospitality Action in support of the “Back to the Floor” initiative, which I thought was a really nice gesture.

As usual, I was too full for dessert, but I’d be tempted to go back another day for a cocktail and the Golden Chocolate Bread and Butter Pudding!

108 Brasserie is the perfect place for a good catch up with friends, date night or a business lunch and offers great food in a peaceful spot in Marylebone.
