JARED JAMES NICHOLS JOINS MARSHALL AMPLIFICATION AS OFFICIAL ENDORSING ARTIST

Jared James Nichols has been announced as the latest artist to join the roster of Marshall Amplification endorsers, uniting one of modern rock’s most electrifying guitarists with one of the most iconic names in music history.

For over six decades, Marshall has defined the sound of rock ‘n’ roll. Founded in London in the early 1960s, the brand became synonymous with volume, attitude and raw power, with its unmistakable stacks forming the backbone of countless legendary recordings and live performances. From the seismic tones of Jimi Hendrix and the arena filling sound of Jimmy Page, through to Slash and Angus Young, Marshall has long sat at the centre of guitar culture. Its current roster reflects that same spirit, bringing together heritage artists and a new generation carrying the torch forward.

Over the past decade, Wisconsin born guitarist Jared James Nichols has built a global following through relentless touring, a visceral playing style and an uncompromising approach to tone.

Known for his no-pick technique and raw, physical attack, Nichols translates blues, classic rockand heavy riffing into a sound that feels both rooted and immediate.

That drive traces back to his earliest days as a player, famously sneaking onto a stage in his hometown to play the same spot once graced by Stevie Ray Vaughan, long before going on to share stages and studios with the likes of Zakk Wylde, Slash and Joe Perry.

“I’ve always associated Marshall with the sound that made me want to play guitar in the first place” Nichols says. “Those amps are part of the DNA of rock music. To now be part of that family genuinely means a lot”.

“Jared represents everything we look for in a Marshall artist – feel, power and a real connection to the instrument” says Hugh Gilmartin, Artist Relations & Marketing Manager at Marshall. “His approach to tone and performance reflects the spirit that has driven Marshall for over 60 years”.

That relationship between player and amp is central to what Nichols does, and it’s something he recently spotlighted in his latest Premier Guitar Rig Rundown feature, released earlier this month.

The video sees Nichols stripping things back to a “back to basics” setup built around Gibson guitars and Marshall stacks, highlighting the simplicity and power behind his tone. At the heart of the rig are dual Marshall 1959 Modified heads running into various versions of 1960 4×12 cabinets, dialled to emphasise clarity and low-end punch which is an approach that captures his philosophy of letting the amp and the player do the heavy lifting.

The endorsement arrives at a pivotal moment for Nichols, following the release of his latest album Louder Than Fate (Frontiers Music SRL), recorded in part at Foo Fighters’ Studio 606 in Los Angeles. The record marks a shift towards a more song driven approach by pairing bigger choruses with the guitar work that has long defined his career.

He has recently completed an extensive international touring run spanning headline dates, intimate fan events and major support slots, with his run of dates supporting George Thorogood kicking off this week.
