Dip and Flip Review

When I tell people about Dip and Flip, I get two reactions. It’s either ‘OMG that sounds amazing! or no gravy and burgers together, that does not sound good at all’. I’m here to tell you that Gravy and Burgers do go well together. I’ve had Dip and Flip before so I’m not a new convert – heck I’ve been singing their praises for years. I was, however, a new visitor to their Battersea Venue. It’s recently been done up and looks amazing.

Arriving with a large number of influencers, we were took up the entire restaurant and it was like a giant party. Bottomless drinks and what seemed like limitlessness food. I think we sampled everything on the menu. I was in fast food heaven. The DJ was playing great tunes but it was at a level where we could still talk to each other.

As long as you love burgers, sandwiches, or fries and it doesn’t even matter if it’s beef, chicken, pork or vegetarian you’re after – Dip and Flip have you covered. Our favourites during the evening there were the fries with gravy and cheese (basically an upgraded Poutine) and the original Dip and Flip Burger. Basically a large cheeseburger with added roast beef or lamb which you then dunk in gravy. Its seriously delicious and the perfect food to soak up a hangover from the night before.

Trust us, you’ll be a convert to Dip and Flip after one delicious bite. Unfortunately there’s no Dip and Flip in the north of London and their venues are in Battersea, Wimbledon, Brixton and Tooting. Here’s hoping they expand soon but until then you’ll find us in the Battersea Store filling our bellies with this extremely morish food.

Before we left we tried one of Dip and Flip’s hard shakes and could not be even more impressed. It tasted exactly like a Bakewell Tart and I can’t wait to go back to try their other flavours. The drink to try there though is the Gin and Rose Lemonade. Forget the tonic water, Rose Lemonade is the mixer you’re gin has been looking for. It’s delcious and will convert non-gin drinkers into Gin drinkers.
