A Sky-High Botanical Glasshouse at The Gherkin

Searcys at the Gherkin partners with Perrier Jouet to launch a sky-high botanical glasshouse this summer

Now that it seems like the summer season is actually starting to show its face, we’re scoping out the best London spots to enjoy the warmer months. Top of the list is the iconic Searcys at The Gherkin, as the City hotspot has announced that on the 15th July it will be transformed into a luscious botanical glasshouse, created in partnership with Perrier-Jouët Champagne

Nature can be a bit of a rarity in the heart of the City, but not here, as the entire Iris bar on level 40 will become an oasis of greenery; a haven of exotic, flowers and plants, creating the illusion of a conservatory. Guests will experience the ultimate luxury as they enjoy Champagne pairings by Perrier-Jouët, botanical gin cocktails from a specially curated menu, and a seasonal menu celebrating the best of British produce. The venue also offers exclusive private dining experiences and live entertainment, to the backdrop of one of the finest skylines London has to offer

The space will also be running Champagne masterclasses, where parties of all sizes can indulge in a tasting flight of three different cuvées. Resident mixologists have designed a special menu of botanical gin-based cocktails, created with natural ingredients. These include the iconic Gherkin Spritz– Beefeater gin, Perrier-Jouët Champagne, pickled gherkin juice and elderflower essence – and London Fields– a refreshing mix of Plymouth sloe gin, cox apples, fresh fruits, lemonade and lavender extract.

Also available at the bar, The Glasshouse Gin & Tonic trio (£17) which will entice guests to experiment with garnishes and tonics that have been expertly curated by Searcys’ mixologists.
