Last week we headed on down to All Star Lanes to have lunch and play a game of bowling. For starters we went for the Crab and roast sweet potato cakes which came with a chilli and dill pickle dip, it had a nice crunch to it with a creamy soft filling, the crab was cooked to perfection with a nice sweet taste from the sweet potatoes.

For the mains we chose the whole lobster, which was chargrilled with chilli and lime, it came with skinny fries, roasted sweet corn and a salad. The lobster was chargrilled nicely, with tender meat inside. This was a very generous sized dish, so recommended to those with a big appetite, and at only £24.50 it’s a real treat!

We left a nice big gap before we tucked into dessert, we chose the Salted caramel brownie, topped with salted caramel sauce. I must say that salted caramel deserts are really having their moment right now and I can see why! I can only describe the dessert as ‘melt in your mouth’ it finished off the meal nicely.

Once lunch was done we enjoyed a game of bowling, the lanes are very stylish and it certainly brought back memories of being a competitive teen. The price for bowling ranges from £8.95 for peak times to £6.95 for off peak. To view their offers click here
