Art Kitchen Review

Tuesday night, we attended a press event at the lovely Art St Kitchen at the DoubleTree by Hilton, Westminster. It was a fun evening showcasing, Art St Kitchen’s new menu and meeting other bloggers and press from around London.

All the dishes on both the sit-down lunch and dinner menu are designed to share, putting the supper club theme/family dining experience back at the dinner table. I actually really enjoy this style of dining, because as lovely as an intimate dinner for two is… It’s always nice to be share with a big group of friends.

Lunchtime dishes start from £4.50 and dinner plates start from £6 so prices were pretty well priced for somewhere central. Favourite dishes of the evening included the salt beef and gherkin croquettes, the  Potato and truffle scotch egg, Pumpkin Gnocchi, Cheesy Cauliflower man and cheese and the Sticky Tofee Cheesecake. The other dishes were nice too with the exception of the Panko Breaded Chicken. Unfortunately it was a little dry.

The drinks menu was also impressive, with delicious classic cocktails such as the Porn Star Martini and for us gin lovers, a decent gin menu. Though with the range of amazing gins out there, Art St Kitchen could always increase this list. We recommend adding Black Powder Gin and Four Pillers to the list.

The funnest part of the evening was receiving a caracature from MKCaricatures. It was a fun way to break up the evening and give guests that something a little different that the classic photo booth.

So next time you’re in Westminster, head to this funky little restaurant. Your brightly coloured small plates will surely put a smile on your face.
