“AU-EM-GEE,” UK’S FIRST AUBERGINE-THEMED POP-UP COMES TO LONDON
Bishops Square, Spitalfields
Friday 19 May 2017, 12pm – 3pm

It’s nearly time for one of our favourite foodie festival weeks…. National Vegatarian Week! Animal friendly vendors up and down the country will be offering extra vegi delights in honour of this socially conscious food weeks. There will be a lot of exciting vegi alternatives on the menu, but we have to say there is one we are particularly hyped about.

Gourmet burger extrodinaire The Vurger Co. will be serving up a vegetarian friendly burger that even a carnivore will crave at a one day event in Bishops Square, Spitalfields Market in the form of new culinary creation with the debut of “The Auburger”. Auburger seekers can expect smoky BBQ flavours and meaty textures from a not-so-top-secret-recipe of aubergine, onion and chickpea mixed with TABASCO® Chipotle Sauce and topped with smoked cheese all served in a brioche bun, with the meat like texture of the aubergine helping recreate the traditional taste and texture of a burger without the added guilt.

It’s #aubergenius. The Vurger Co. founders Rachel Hugh and Neil Potts, will be on hand serving up single or double stacked Auburgers for £7 and £9 respectively and explaining how they’re taking the veggie burger out of the specialty aisle and into mainstream cooking.
