BACARDÍ Rum Month
BACARDÍ Rum Month is back and better than ever, with 50 events spanning bars and venues across the UK. From rum-themed tours, takeovers, parties, cocktail offers and even a few freebies, rum fans across the country will be spoilt for choice this July.
For the second year running, BACARDÍ has partnered with DrinkUp.London to bring together the best of UK bars and cocktails to celebrate the hottest spirit of the moment. The unique taste of BACARDÍ rum inspired cocktail pioneers to invent some of the world’s most famous recipes including the BACARDÍ Mojito, the BACARDÍ Daiquiri and the BACARDÍ Piña Colada. July has been be a huge month for rum so far with two iconic cocktails all celebrating their national day – the Piña Colada (10th July) and Mojito (11th July)! We can’t forget about Daiquiri Day on (19thJuly).
For National Daiquiri Day, tasting tours will take place in Leeds, London and Edinburghwhere various takes on the world’s most ordered rum cocktail can be enjoyed. From the classic BACARDÍ Daiquiri, made with only BACARDÍ Carta Blanca, lime and sugar to raspberry and even rhubarb and marshmallow twists, tours of this refreshing summer cocktail will take place on the following dates:
- London – 17th July: Bar Three, The Green Room and Red Rooster at The Curtain, The Cocktail Trading Company, Discount Suit Company and Dinerama
- Leeds – 18th July: The Box, Mojo, Domino and Rolands
- Edinburgh – 19th July: The Voyage of Buck, Voodoo Rooms and Bullard & Worth

National Rum Day falls on 16th August so the festivities don’t need to end in July. Head to the London Edition and travel through different rooms on your very own rum tasting journey and learn how to mix a classic BACARDÍ Mojito. For those who want to celebrate from home, the newly launched BACARDÍ Spiced or BACARDÍ Coconut, make the perfect addition to any summer party. BACARDÍ Coconut is best enjoyed with a tropical mixer like pineapple juice or simply mix BACARDÍ Spiced with cola for a fiery twist on the legendary ‘rum and coke’ cocktail.
In Liverpool, Motel will be holding a party to celebrate National Daiquiri Day on 19th July. The first 50 customers will get to enjoy this iconic cocktail for free. Head down from 7pm to dance the night away with DJs and delicious Daiquiris.
For National Rum Day on the 16th August, listen to Caribbean beats and pick up a free BACARDÍ Mojito or Ocho Old Fashioned at Duke Street Market for the first 100 people who pass by.
In Manchester, keep an eye out for BACARDÍ Rum Month takeovers in bars all over the city. Guilty By Association have got a special menu of rum month cocktails for just £7 including such delicious concoctions as the Chilli & Banana Daquiri and the Refashioned – a new take on the Old Fashioned using BACARDÍ Ocho with hazelnut and chocolate bitters.
Lost in Tokyo have also got a limited edition menu of rum month cocktails for £7, and at Luck Lust Liquor and Burn and Convenience Store you can get all rum drink serves for £6 until August 16th.
