Bala Baya opens this month

We all know January can be a bit of a somber month. If you’re feeling those January blues and longing for a holiday already, then head to Southwark’s Union Street Arches to sample a day in the life of Tel Aviv, They open their doors on 9th January. The first stand-alone project from Israeli-born Head Chef Eran Tibi, Bala Baya blends the vibrant tastes of Tel Aviv’s all day eateries with a sleek-Bauhaus-inspired London restaurant setting.

Expect delights such as Burnt Burrata, White Wine & Orange Syrup, Red Snapper & Fennel Salad and Tahini, Banana, Tonka &Pistachio Cheesecake. There’s also a delicious weekend brunch menu if you’re craving something other than the usual poached eggs and avocado. Make sure you check out the classic Shakshuka if you want a bit of a bit of a twist on this usual weekend meal.
