Riding House Café – 15 Years of the All-Day Dining, Brunch Icon with a Taste of it’s Greatest Hits

This summer, Riding House Cafés will mark 15 years since opening its original Fitzrovia restaurant with the return of a selection of favourite dishes from across the group’s history, reintroduced as part of a new summer menu launching across its London locations.

First opened in Fitzrovia in 2011, Riding House Cafe quickly became known for its lively atmosphere, relaxed all-day dining and standout brunch offering, helping to shape the brunch culture that would come to define London’s modern neighbourhood restaurant scene. Over the past 15 years, it has grown into a restaurant many Londoners return to time and again, whether for weekday breakfasts, long lunches, late dinners or the weekend brunches that still see queues outside the original Fitzrovia site.

To mark the anniversary, Executive Chef Henry Omereye has brought back a number of dishes that have appeared on Riding House Cafe menus over the years, alongside new seasonal additions. The line-up places particular emphasis on the dishes that have helped define Riding House Cafe as one of London’s best-loved brunch destinations, celebrating 15 years of the restaurant’s role in making brunch such a central part of the city’s dining culture.

Returning and new dishes include Three Cheese Croquettes with pickled cucumber, Confit Pork Belly with cumin salt and XO sauce, and Kedgeree with flaked smoked haddock and poached egg – a long-time favourite that speaks directly to the restaurant’s brunch identity and the kind of confident, comfort-led cooking that has made it such an enduring fixture. Returning favourites also include the Superfood Salad with bulgur wheat, squash, alfalfa and seeds, reflecting the restaurant’s long-standing balance of lighter daytime dishes and more indulgent comfort food.

Elsewhere on the menu, Roast Lamb with sticky baked rice and yellow peppers joins the larger plates. To finish, the Hot Fudge Sundae with honeycomb, vanilla and chocolate ice cream returns across brunch, lunch and dinner.

The returning dishes sit alongside a refreshed summer menu of new seasonal dishes and Riding House Cafe staples. Available throughout the day, the menus continue to reflect the restaurant’s globally influenced approach to all-day dining, moving from brunch and lighter lunch dishes to grilled meats, sharing plates, cocktails and desserts. Fifteen years on, that all-day format – anchored by one of London’s most recognisable brunch offerings – remains at the heart of what Riding House Cafe does best.

While all three Riding House Cafe locations will introduce elements of the summer menu throughout June, Fitzrovia – the original restaurant and the heart of the brand since 2011 – will offer the full anniversary selection.

Fifteen years on, Riding House Cafe continues to do what it has always done best: serve food people want to return for, create spaces that feel energetic but familiar, and remain part of the everyday rhythm of London life – from early breakfasts to long, lively brunches and beyond.
