Big Penny Social presents Bored of Dating Apps
Big Penny Social is thrilled to be welcoming back Bored of Dating Apps after their last successful visit in April. A contemporary take on the 90’s dating scene, it’s a friendlier, simpler and altogether more relaxed approach that respects and accommodates all people.
Started in Feb 2022, BODA is famous for a laid-back no-pressure supportive environment that is designed to create an atmosphere that is conducive to good mental health, self-respect and a non-judgemental approach that values finding love, staying single or just finding new friends as equally brilliant.
One of the only rules is that attendees must be single to enter in. A specific dedicated space free of couples, families, kids – for one night it’s a room full of like-minded people. There’s a completely open approach to entry too, as long you’re over 18, everyone is welcome, whatever your sexuality or gender. An open mind is encouraged, and it is always a great opportunity to meet some fascinating people. There have been previous evenings where there have been more women than men – and vice versa – so it’s unplanned in the very best way.
To kick the night off, a free Dutch Courage shot is available (should you want it!) along with a BODA icebreaker game to calm the nerves. With live music, great food, and drink that Big Penny Social has become so well known for, attendees can settle in and enjoy some friendly competition to break the ice with games including Twister, Giant Jenga, table tennis, table football, and more! Alongside an epic line-up of DJs, Austin Ventour from First Dates will be taking to the decks to provide the perfect atmosphere for singletons looking to make a connection and have a great time throughout the evening.
BODA know that sometimes dating can feel a bit intimidating, so it is good to know that 90% of attendees come alone, so if you find yourself being the only single one in your friendship group, please don’t miss out on this social because you’re not bringing a mate along. It’s encouraged to come flying solo!
The £15 per person event is a no-pressure fun night where arriving with an open mind could mean that you leave with a smile, some potential love and plenty of new friends.
