Bond Shoreditch Review
Going to a hair salon and getting my hair cut or coloured is always exciting, it’s time for me to sit back in a comfy leather chair and trust my hair stylist to work their magic. However we all know it doesn’t always end with a happy shriek and a jump for joy, we’ve all had appointments where tears have been shed behind closed doors. When I got myself booked in for a hair cut at Bond Shoreditch with celebrity and creative hair stylist Callum Standen-May, I knew I had nothing to fear, I had read great things about him.
Bond Shoreditch is located on Cheshire street, founded by salon owner Ursula, its tucked away nicely from the hustle and bustle of Brick lane. There is a real intimate and cosy feeling you get when you walk inside the salon. You are greeted with a navy blue interior, wooden flooring and low hanging lights, giving a warm glow to the salon. It’s elegant, inviting and chic!
I was greeted by Callum and was swiftly directed to my chair, I wanted a trim, just a good amount cut off to get rid of my split ends, along with some fresh layers. Callum observed the heaviness of the bottom of my hair and suggested higher layers, to create more of a stylish and free-flowing hairstyle, I of course was all for it! After having my hair washed with cult haircare line R+Co (vegan and cruelty-free) I was back in the chair having a good old chat with Callum, it felt like we have been friends for years. He makes you feel relaxed and you can’t help but telling him your life story! Before I knew it my hair was cut and he was blowdrying my hair to create soft and silky waves. I was amazed at how effortless it all was, you could tell Callum has been working as a hair stylist for a long time, where he has really honed his craft.
Once my hair was blowdried, I could see how silky soft my hair looked and felt. Bye bye split ends and hello sexy wavy hair! I highly recommend Callum, not only is he a wizard with a pair of scissors, he also has the ability to make you feel at home, it’s a winning combination in my books!
