Bunga Bunga Summer Spectacular Review

Onin.London recently attended Bunga Bunga Covent Garden to attend an Italian fiesta like no other. Bunga Bunga’s summer show is the ‘Summertime Spectacular’… an all-singing, all-dancing immersive drinking and dining experience.

The venue itself is great and it’s been transformed into an Italian Riveria seaside resort, very reminiscent of European all-inclusive resort. From the time we entered, we were immersed into the experience and couldn’t wait for it to start!

While checking out the fun and unique cocktails which really do taste great and come in really cool ceramic mugs. My favourite was definitely the  Bunga Bunga! Though I am a total sucker for a gin based cocktail.

For dinner, food is served sharing style with your guest. The food is pretty special with Chicken Schnitzels, Mozzarella wrapped in Bresaola; Mixed-Leaf, Apple, Gorgonzola and Fig Salad, and fresh Tomato and Basil Bruschetta. For mains, guests can expect the famous Bunga Bunga’s metre-long pizzas, made with their own special slow-rising, homemade sourdough. These were delicious and I could go back to Bunga Bunga just for the pizza!

For dessert, it’s a classic shot of Bunga Bunga’s Limoncello. Though after a night of Italian food, we were in the mood for a gelato so just had to go to one of the nearby restaurants to get one afterwards.

During dinner we were entertained by fun live acts, including musical numbers, stand up comedy, burlesque, acrobatics and much more. It was pretty classic burlesque, cabaret fair but it was the hosts that made the night even more entertaining. They had us dancing on our feet and even got us up on the stage for an embarrassing game.

We throughly enjoyed our night at Bunga Bung as did a large number of hen’s and birthday party guests also spending their night there. Its definitely a popular venue for that so make sure you head there for your next night out.

That’s not all… this summer guests can also enjoy Bunga Bunga’s Matinee Brunch. Expect free-flowing Bellinis and Prosecco as well as two courses of delicious Italian eats such as cured meats, warm brioche with strawberry jam and Nutella, a mini pastry mix, and a fresh fruit salad before Bunga Bunga’s amazing metre-long pizzas. Pizza’s include the almighty Breakfast Benedict with Hollandaise Sauce, Parma Ham, Rocket, Italian soft Eggs and Mozzarella along with the Englishman’s Breakfast with Italian Sausage, Sun-dried Tomatoes, Pancetta, Tomato sauce and Mozzarella. We’ll definitely be back to enjoy this brunch soon.
