’Chilled Sundays’ at Nobu Hotel London Portman Square – A Luxe Sushi Dream in the Heart of Marylebone

If you’re looking to elevate your Sunday plans, Chilled Sundays at Nobu Hotel London Portman Square is a must. Set in the heart of the fabulous  borough of Marylebone, this new brunch experience blends Nobu’s signature sophistication with an effortlessly relaxed, feel-good vibe. Think mellow DJ beats, a sleek setting, and unlimited sushi — what more could you want? Plus it’s extremely family friendly which we love.

The sushi and cold buffet is a dream for Japanese food lovers, with beautiful displays of fresh sashimi, nigiri, crispy rice, and signature bites like salmon tacos and yellowtail jalapeño. The variety is impressive, and the quality is exactly what you’d expect from Nobu: fresh, refined, and full of flavour.

My guest loved all these options but as someone who’s currently pregnant, I was especially grateful for the attentive staff, who were kind enough to guide me through what was pregnancy-safe and even offered alternatives where needed. That level of care made a real difference and made me feel truly looked after.

For our à la carte mains, we chose the Rock Shrimp Tempura and the Black Cod Miso — both absolutely divine. The shrimp was light, crispy, and full of flavour, while the cod was buttery, rich, and cooked to perfection. Definitely the top two dishes at Nobu and for good reason.

The dessert bar was just as impressive, with treats like Yuzu Custard Doughnuts, Matcha Profiteroles, and Miso Brownies — beautifully presented and totally indulgent.

The experience is £90 per person (with drinks not included), and while the cocktails and wines looked great, the drink service was a little slow, which was the only slight downside of an otherwise exceptional brunch. I wasn’t drinking but my friend had long wait times for her drinks and with the added cost of around £70, if I’m going to be honest it’s almost not worth the price for the added drinks package. You’d be better off buying a bottle of wine and indulging that way.

Overall, Chilled Sundays is an ideal way to wind down the weekend in style — whether you’re celebrating something special or just in the mood to treat yourself. Delicious food, stylish surroundings, and that unmistakable Nobu elegance make it an experience well worth the splurge.

It really is a five-star brunch though and one of my favourites in London due to the standout service and unforgettable food — just be patient with the drinks, and you’re in for a real Sunday treat.
