Glenmorangie unveils their latest Beyond the Cask

Glenmorangie is unveiling their latest Beyond the Cask collaboration in which gifted craftspeople transform the wooden staves from Glenmorangie’s prized “twice-used casks” into a beautiful luxury item.

The unique experience at The Painting Rooms in Covent Garden is the latest exciting collaboration which will involve hands-on workshops, expert whisky tastings and much more. It’s an unmissable event over two dates for lovers of design and whisky, followers of the Beyond the Cask project, and anyone who values the carefully handcrafted and the proudly individual over the mass-produced and the ephemeral.

This special event celebrates the third Beyond the Cask initiative, Glenmorangie’s commitment to give new life to the wood that makes the whisky. The signature white oak casks that give Glenmorangie Original its unmatched complexity are only ever used twice in their whisky-making lifetime – so the team at Glenmorangie partner with like-minded craftspeople to find a new role for this prized wood.

Expect one-off whisky cocktails such as Cold Water – an elegant sour served with Glenmorangie Original, yuzu and white cacao; Salt Water – a sweet and sour cold toddy served with Glenmorangie Original and Sencha Green Tea; Fresh Water – a mix of Glenmorangie Original, pineapple, ginger topped with red ale amongst others. They will also experience Glenmorangie’s whisky expertise through a deconstructed tasting of Glenmorangie Original hosted by Glenmorangie’s very own Distillery Manager, Andy McDonald. Guests will discover the secrets of Glenmorangie’s unnecessarily well-made whisky – and develop a true understanding of the role this wood plays in the maturation process.

Tickets for the experience are now on sale available for the 13th & 14th September. Availability is limited so whisky lovers should make sure to snap one up quickly.
