Chloe Lewis Beauty review

You may recognise the name from the reality TV series TOWIE, but it turns out Chloe Lewis has more than one string to her bow. Last year saw her launch a bespoke beauty range ‘Chloe Lewis Beauty’, described as “budget friendly” and impressively “cruelty free”.

The collection has been carefully created to suit a wide variety of skin tones, and features seven lipsticks– all infused with Vitamin E, protective sunscreen and soothing beeswax, ranging from natural nudes to bright reds. The range also includes multi-use liquid highlighters in a variety of colours, which can be used either entirely on their own, for a more obvious effect, or alongside a moisturizer or primer, to achieve a dewy glow.

I got our hands on some of the products to give them a try, here’s what I thought:

Lipstick ‘Typically Me’ – £12.99
A subtle pink shade with a gloss finish, this felt really moisturizing and added a slight tint of colour without looking too heavy; perfect for the daytime. I’d keep this one in my handbag for when I’m on the go and need something versatile that will go with almost any look, and doesn’t necessarily need a mirror for careful application.

Lipstick ‘Berry Kiss’ – £12.99
If you’re looking for a more striking pop of colour, then this berry lip shade is the one. I loved the thick consistency, as well as the matte finish. It also lasted on my lips for ages, which is always a win, as it means spending less time having to re-apply.

Liquid highlighter ‘bronzed beauty’ – £22.99
If, like me, you love looking like you’ve just come back from holiday, then you’ll enjoy using this. Like liquid gold, I tried it out with a moisturizer to add an overall bronzed tint to my face, and it gave me a really warm glow. Definitely one to use in the winter months to achieve a sun kissed look, or, if you’re a sun junkie, to accentuate your summer tan.

Liquid highlighter ‘moon beach’ – £22.99
I really liked using this as a highlighter to accentuate my cheekbones and under my eyebrows as it’s not too bright, and was easy to blend with the rest of my makeup. In the light, it gave a lovely shimmery glow and really made my cheekbones pop. You can even dial the shimmer up or down by using more (or less) as you please, so it is super versatile. Ideal to take you from day to night.
